Ingredients

1 cup(s) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips or Chopped Chocolate
1/2 cup(s) Unsalted Butter
3/4 cup(s) Granulated Sugar
1/4 tsp(s) Salt
1 tsp(s) Vanilla Extract
3 Large Eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup(s) Dutch Process Cocoa Powder
Chocolate Ganache
1 cup(s) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips or Chopped Chocolate
1/2 cup(s) Heavy Cream
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
2. Melt chocolate and butter in a double boiler or in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring between each interval until smooth.
3. Stir in sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
4. Beat in eggs until smooth.
5. Stir in cocoa powder until well combined.
6. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth top.
7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
8. Remove from oven and let cool completely in pan.
9. To make ganache, melt chocolate and heavy cream in a double boiler or in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring between each interval until smooth.
10. Remove cake from pan and transfer to a serving plate. Spread ganache over top of cake.
11. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
