Ingredients
9 inch Deep Dish Frozen Pie Crust
8 oz(s) Bacon Slices, diced
1/2 cup(s) Shallots, chopped
4 Large Eggs
1 1/4 cup(s) Heavy Cream
1/4 tsp(s) Salt
1/8 tsp(s) Cayenne Pepper
Pinch Ground Nutmeg
1 1/4 cup(s) Gruyère, finely shredded
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
2. In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove bacon from skillet and set aside on a paper towel-lined plate. Leave grease in skillet.
3. Add shallots to the same skillet and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes. Set aside with bacon.
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, salt, cayenne pepper, and nutmeg.
5. Spread cooked bacon and shallots evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
6. Sprinkle Gruyère cheese over the top of the bacon and shallots.
7. Pour egg mixture over the top of the cheese.
8. Bake quiche for 35-40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the center is set.
9. Remove quiche from oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
