Ingredients
3 1/2 cup(s) All-Purpose Flour (475 g)
1/2 cup(s) Starter, active & bubbly (100g)
1 1/3 cup(s) Water (325 g)
2 tsp(s) Salt (10 g)
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 3 1/2 cups (475 g) of all-purpose flour and 1/2 cup (100 g) of active and bubbly sourdough starter.
2. Gradually add 1 1/3 cups (325 g) of water to the dry ingredients while mixing with a wooden spoon or a dough whisk until a shaggy dough forms.
3. Add 2 tsp (10 g) of salt to the dough and mix until fully incorporated.
4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 10-15 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic.
5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rest at room temperature for 4-5 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
6. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
7. Punch down the dough and shape it into a round loaf. Place it on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover it with a clean towel, and let it rise for another 2-3 hours, or until it has doubled in size again.
8. Score the loaf with a sharp knife or a razor blade, making a few shallow cuts on the top.
9. Bake the bread for 30-40 minutes, or until it's golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
10. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
