Ingredients
1 Pork Butt
BBQ Rub to taste
1 cup(s) Dale's Steak Seasoning
Instructions
1. Prepare the smoker with wood chips or chunks, following the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Preheat the smoker to 225-250°F.
3. Season the pork butt liberally with BBQ rub, making sure to coat all surfaces.
4. In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of Dale's Steak Seasoning and 1/4 cup of water to create a marinade.
5. Place the seasoned pork butt in a large zip-top plastic bag or a non-reactive container with a lid.
6. Pour the marinade over the pork butt, making sure that the meat is fully coated.
7. Seal the bag or cover the container, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight, allowing the meat to marinate.
8. Remove the pork butt from the refrigerator and place it in the smoker, fat side up.
9. Close the lid and smoke the pork butt for 8-10 hours, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 195°F. After 4 hours of smoking, start to baste the pork butt with a mixture of 1/4 cup of Dale's Steak Seasoning and 1/4 cup of water. Baste every 30 minutes until the pork is done.
10. Once the pork butt is cooked, remove it from the smoker and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before pulling it apart with two forks.
11. Serve the pulled pork with your choice of barbecue sauce. Enjoy!
